The ChanonLab at Chulalongkorn University, launching in Feb 2024, is dedicated to developing solar-driven technologies and processes to tackle global challenges in the Water-Energy-Food nexus.

RESEARCH FOCUSES

MATERIALS ENGINEERING

Materials engineering plays a crucial role in advancing solar harvesting technologies. We are dedicated to developing and optimizing materials to enhance the efficiency of solar energy capture and conversion.

COMPLEMENTARY SOLAR FUELS APPROACHES

We are actively seeking innovative ways to enhance the efficiency and economic viability of solar and other renewable energy conversion. These approaches involve the active combination of various technologies and materials to optimize the capture and conversion of solar energy, thereby maximizing solar utilization.

PROTOTYPING

We actively engage in prototyping to translate innovative ideas and research findings into tangible solutions. Our goal is to bridge the gap between theory and practical application, utilizing prototypes as tools for testing and refining novel technologies. Through the active incorporation of prototyping into our research process, we expedite the development and deployment of sustainable energy solutions, ultimately contributing to a greener and more sustainable future.
